A new state-of-the-art Custom Fitting Centre built alongside the current practice grounds at The Grove Hotel and Golf Club. The Custom Fitting Centre brings an exciting new offering to the Golf Club, that has previously hosted a World Golf Championship and the British Masters.

 

Working with Main Contractors Kingerlee Ltd and West Waddy Architects to design and deliver under a Design & Build Contract, the Centre is a single storey Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) structure sat over a raft foundation. Centrespace designed the stepped raft foundations including groundworks sequences and reinforcement detailing for Kingerlee, and advice on the specialist CLT design and supply from KLH Ltd.

 

The new Centre and surrounding grounds and nearby West Lodge also underwent significant additions and adaptions to the drainage systems. From the Tender stage onward, Centrespace were able to offer Value Engineering and design advice to reduce both the extent of excavation and disruption across the grounds and the golfing operation which generated commercial and programme advantages.
