Who I am and what makes me tick…
What prompted you to start a career in Structural Engineering
I have always been interested in how things are built and how structures work. Structural engineering felt like the perfect blend of creativity, problem-solving, and technical skill, which made it a natural choice for me.
How has your previous experience helped you at Centrespace Design?
As a fresh graduate from the University of Leeds, working at Centrespace Design for the past two years has been my first professional experience. The hands-on learning and guidance from my managers have been incredibly valuable, helping me grow both technically and professionally.
Which part of your work gives you the greatest sense of achievement?
What I find most fulfilling is seeing a project come to life from the ground up — being part of every stage, from the initial design concept through to the final handover, brings a strong sense of ownership and satisfaction. Knowing that my work contributes to something tangible and lasting is incredibly rewarding. The diversity of projects I am exposed to means I am always learning and never stuck in a routine, which keeps the work fresh and motivating.
How would people describe you?
People often describe me as curious, enthusiastic, and always willing to learn. I have a genuine passion for what I do, and I enjoy diving deep into new tools, especially when it comes to design software’s.
What motivates you to do what you do?
I am driven by a strong desire to keep growing as an engineer and to contribute meaningfully to projects that shape our environment. The mentorship I receive from more experienced engineers at Centrespace has been a big motivator — it pushes me to keep improving and gives me a clear sense of direction.
What can you be found doing when you’re not at work?
Outside of work, I enjoy reading books, watching anime (Japanese animation), playing games, and going for walks.
