BREW HOUSE

Centrespace were engaged by the main contractor, Kingerlee Homes to provide a robust temporary works design to support the existing façade wall during demolition.

The existing wall was out of plumb by approximately 150mm at eaves and the property boarded Goldsmith Lane which remained open throughout construction.

It was paramount that the wall remained stable throughout the process to avoid any road closures and allow for safe construction of the rest of the main build.

To minimize the amount of temporary works required, the façade retention relied on the existing walls to remain, along with a new braced temporary tower structure. The wall was monitored throughout construction and upon completion readings showed that the wall had not moved during the building process.
