To accommodate a new stair connection between Levels 2 and 3, temporary support works were installed to stabilise the existing steel structure, including the cell beams.

Once the propping system was in place, selected sections of the existing steel beams were carefully cut to allow for the stair opening.

A new horizontal steel frame was then introduced and connected to the retained primary structure. The previously cut beams were subsequently integrated into this new frame, reinstating structural continuity and providing support around the new stair void, a great project to work on.
