A complete refurbishment of a traditional London town house in Kensington. The Architect’s, Spratley & Partners intent was for all the internal loadbearing walls and the existing floor plates to be demolished to allow for a complete redesign of the internal levels and floor plan. To achieve this Centrespace designed an innovative slimline internal steel frame to support the new floors.

 

To enable the project to be on budget and programme it was necessary to integrate the permanent works and temporary works. The structure was engineered and sequenced in a way that allow it to be installed level by level, ensuing that stability to the existing façade was maintained throughout construction.
