Northshore is a 9,000 sq. ft replacement dwelling in Hayling Island. With stunning views out across the bay. The  property  is  situated on  the  protected north edge of Hayling  Island.  With proposals  for  large  open  plan  floor plates and  long  glazed  elevations there  was  a structural   need   to   limit   deflections   to enable   the   long   sliding   doors   to   work effectively.  The  location  so close  to  the salt   air   and   the   floor   plate   both   lent themselves  to  a  concrete  frame  solution, simultaneously   providing   much  needed thermal mass. 
 
The  mirror  glazed  box  on  the  roof  has minimal impact whilst providing expansive views and  is  reflected  in  design  by  the summer pavilion at the end of the garden.
