Who I am and what makes me tick..
What prompted you to start a career in Structural Engineering?
From a young age, I was interested in Architecture and especially older Buildings, having been quite good at lifting floorboards for my Dad when he was rewiring houses!
How has your previous experience helped you at Centrespace Design?
Having been engaged in most sides of design, construction and development, it has helped me settle quickly in Centrespace and to bring an experienced pair of eyes and ears with me to add clarity and calmness to what we do here.
Which part of your work gives you the greatest sense of achievement?
I have been lucky to have seen some wonderful Projects over the last 25+ years and still get satisfaction when I see or read about them again. This is particularly true with restorations and conversations that make inspirational and relevant spaces that can be preserved and enjoyed.
How would people describe you?
I would hope people see me as acting with clarity and integrity, and that I am open in the discussions we have.
What motivates you to do what you do?
My aim is always to work with likeminded, committed people, who care about the people and the outcomes as I do and together go on a journey to deliver successful projects.
What can you be found doing when you’re not at work?
My family, with three sons, keeps me busy. And when I have time, I love playing golf and enjoy most other sports (football, NFL, horse racing especially) and good music!
